苗木 誠 ( Naegi Makoto ) is the Ultimate Lucky Student from Hope's Peak Academy's 78th Class. He has a younger sister, 苗木 こまる ( Naegi Komaru ) and unnamed parents. He previously attended 夕闇高校 ( Dusk High School ) before being chosen to attend Hope's Peak Academy.

As the Ultimate Lucky Student, Makoto did not have any unique talents before being selected. Whether or not he is "lucky" is to be seen!
